IFJ PAN Astrophysics Forum

The Astrophysics Forum brings together researchers who work across diverse fields of Astronomy and Astrophysics.

It aims to foster a shared academic community, support scientific growth, knowledge exchange, and collaboration.

Through seminars, discussions, and shared expertise of PhD students, postdocs, and specialists, the Forum seeks

to build a common platform that deepens our collective understanding and appreciation of the cosmos.

Pierre Auger Observatory
Pierre Auger Observatory
The world’s largest cosmic-ray detector, spanning over 3,000 km² and combining a vast array of surface detectors with fluorescence telescopes to study ultra-high-energy particles from the most extreme regions of the universe and uncover their origins.
CTAO
CTAO

The Cherenkov Telescope Array Observatory ground-based gamma-ray observatory spanning large sites in both hemispheres, combining dozens of telescopes of different sizes to cover a wide energy range and detect Cherenkov light from atmospheric particle showers.

P-ONE
P-ONE

The Pacific Ocean Neutrino Experiment is a next-generation deep-sea neutrino observatory in the Pacific Ocean, covering a vast multi-cubic-kilometer detection volume and combining large arrays of optical sensors anchored to the ocean floor to detect faint light signals from neutrino interactions.

T2K
T2K

The T2K experiment and the Super-Kamiokande detector in Japan use powerful accelerator-generated beams and underground water Cherenkov detectors to study neutrino oscillations and fundamental properties of these elusive particles.

Einstein Telescope
Einstein Telescope

The Einstein Telescope is a proposed next-generation underground gravitational-wave observatory in Europe, spanning tens of kilometers in a triangular configuration and combining ultra-sensitive interferometric detectors to probe cosmic events with unprecedented precision.

CREDO
CREDO

Cosmic-Ray Extremely Distributed Observatory is a global, highly distributed cosmic-ray detection network spanning the entire Earth, combining professional instruments with everyday devices like smartphones to search for correlated cosmic-ray events and explore new frontiers in astroparticle physics.
